Frogs and Flowers
Something other than birds for my first post today. I hear these guys all the time, but they are not easy to spot at all. They hide in the shadows beneath the reeds croaking away to their heart's content. The slightest movement and... plop, they submerge, taking with them the photo opportunity. This I believe is a green frog:
The wildflower meadow at Lakeside Park is starting to live up to its name:
Lots of bergamot, set in contrast with last year's dried up seed heads:
Black-eyed susans also:
And how could I not include a photo of a butterfly. The black on this monarch's wings stands out in sharp relief to the soft focus in the background:
